# JavaScript data-component sample

This is a fictional demonstration by Meltemi Labs, developed with AI assistance. It is not a client deployment. No accounts, package installation or sending email are required to run the checks below.

Extract the ZIP and open a terminal in the extracted folder. With Node.js installed, run:

```text
node --test transform.test.mjs workflow.test.mjs
node demo.mjs
```

The first command runs nine local checks. The second executes the standalone transformation on the included fictional input and prints one invitation preview plus two rejected records. Compare it with `standalone-output.json`.

## Files

- `transform.mjs`: standalone JavaScript transformation, unchanged from the checked sample.
- `transform.test.mjs`: four checks for the standalone function.
- `workflow.json`: inactive n8n workflow template; not needed to run the standalone demo.
- `workflow.test.mjs`: five local structural/Code-node checks, not a live n8n test.
- `sample-output.json`: expected output from the workflow's two Code-node bodies.
- `sample-input.json`, `standalone-output.json` and `demo.mjs`: reproducible standalone demonstration.
- `README.md`: these instructions.

The fixture dates are historical examples, not appointments. All email addresses use example.com. Running these commands does not send invitations or access Gmail, Sheets or n8n.

## What the demonstration does

It normalizes email case/whitespace, builds a plain-text invitation preview and preserves the original row ID. A missing email and a duplicate email/date/time combination are reported separately instead of silently discarded. Duplicate detection applies to this batch only. The simple email format check does not prove that a mailbox exists.

## Limits

The sample assumes well-formed date, time and name fields and a valid IANA timezone. Invalid dates and daylight-saving transitions need additional handling before any production use. Persistent send state and recovery after an uncertain send are not implemented. Do not run the workflow against real recipients.

Import/execution in a running n8n instance, OAuth, Gmail delivery and Sheets updates have not been verified. The tests use local data and simulated objects. The sample does not establish production n8n client experience.

## Proposed paid pilot

US$25 for one agreed JavaScript JSON transformation/validation function, runnable tests and handoff notes. Agree input/output examples, acceptance and AI delivery before starting. Two business days after agreement and inputs, one correction included; payment within seven days of acceptance. Agree an available payment method before starting. Card and PayPal setup is in progress; neither checkout is live yet. Payment of 25 native USDC on Base or Solana is also available by agreement; confirm the receiving network and amount, with sender covering crypto transfer fees. Account access and deployment are excluded.

Contact: meltemilabs@gmail.com. No payment is due to inspect this sample. This sample is supplied for evaluation, without a production warranty; buyer-specific delivery and rights are agreed for the paid order.
